PJ's Local Legends: Wait! There's a Spa Up There!?!

If you go around to the side of our building and up the stairs, you'll find our newest neighbors waiting to make you feel like a million bucks. The Rocky Mountain Beauty Bar Salon and Spa debuted in May and is open seven days a week for your convenience.
The co-owners, Katie Cooey and Kellie Stivers, worked together at the same Sola Salon location before deciding to open up their own business.
"We started looking around Longmont and found this place," Stivers explained. "Katie's husband actually created the space for us because it was just a big empty room esentially. It's been great. We've been advertising and trying to get our name out more."
While Katie has 20 years of experience as a hair stylist, Kellie got into the aesthetics field in 2019. Together they offer a range of treatments from haircuts to microneedling.
"Because I'm a physician I can carry medical-grade skin care here," Kellie said. "I do botox, skin care, all the facial stuff, general fillers, injections, PRP (platelet-rich plasma), all of it."

Their staff includes 10 different part-time nurses that can perform injections, three hair stylists, and an eyelash specialist starting in September. Rocky Mountain Salon and Spa is open seven days a week from 8am until 7pm. They take appointments but Kellie says there is someone usually available for walk-ups as well. 
"We tell people where we're at and they're like, 'We don't know' and I'm like, 'It's on top of PJ's Liquors' and the're like, 'Oh. We know where that is.'"
